Taking the Metra Trains

The Metra train stops at the front gate of Ravinia during the summer and a short walk away during the fall, winter, and spring

Train Information

Metra’s Union Pacific North Line  —with trains running between Chicago (Ogilvie Transportation Center) and Kenosha, WI—is a highly convenient way to get to and from the park!

In the fall, winter, and spring, trains stop at the nearby “Braeside” station, only a quarter-mile walk from the South Gate  into the park, next to Bennett Gordon Hall. During the summer concert season, Metra trains stop right at the front gate of Ravinia*. The train is the perfect solution to avoid traffic!
